I have a RTL-SDR V4 connected to an EFHW (for 80m to 6m bands). I’m using rtl_tcp to access it over LAN. Neither GQRX (linux) nor MagicSDR (android) let me tune below 24MHz.
I built the binary from the latest commit to master https://gitea.osmocom.org/sdr/rtl-sdr. Is this feature of the V4 unsupported?
The drivers should be okay. But if the program limits your tuning range, there isn’t anything you can do other than petition the programmer to unlock the lower frequencies.
In GQRX, there should be an extended tuning range button, though, that will unlock the lower frequencies.
If there is a button, I can’t find it 
which software would you recommend for this setup?
SDR++ and SDR# are the recommended options.
