RTL-SDR driver for Chrome

Hello to all. I have a RTL232U dongle that I have had for some time. I was hoping to use this with a 5 year old Chrome book. I’m not able to download the RTL driver off the Google Play store as it tells me driver is not compatible with my device. I apologize if this question has been asked else where, I search but didn’t see it. Any ideas how to get this working on a Chrome Book would be of great help.

Is it an ARM or x86 Chromebook? If it’s x86 sadly the drivers and apps made for Android won’t work on it. I believe the only way to revive the Chromebook to do something useful for SDR is to install Linux on it, which may or may not be possible for your particular model.
