SDR module with serial/parallel interface?

Hi there. I have this project idea, but one thing I need to do is interface to the SDR without using USB. As I understand it, the RTL2832U also has a serial/parallel interface, which would be great. I’ve been told there’s some community research into this, but it’s not clear to me how successful people have been.

If there’s a pre-built SDR module out there with a serial/parallel interface, I’d love to hear about it. I’m an EE with mostly digital design and layout experience, so I’d rather not make my own RF section if I can avoid it. But looking at the STL-SDR Blog v4, it doesn’t look too bad, the trick is figuring out the interface.

I’ve reached out to Realtek, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to convince them I’m legitimate enough. I think I could sell hundreds of these devices per year, not thousands. But who knows?

The RTL2832 isn’t that interesting, other than offering 8 ADC + digital down-convert from 0-14.4 MHz (28.8 MHz sampling rate).

There is the tuner and a ADC picked by you, and you should have something usable.
You would need to do the digital down-convert on your device, if that is what you seek.
